We had a rough night. We think Abby may have an ear infection. She got
up to 104 temp last night and scared us. We are getting on a plane today
and that could be awful for her if she does have an ear problem. We are
giving her Motrin right before we board and having her suck on a bottle
on the take off and landing, if she will. We have her medical exam in
Guangzhou tomorrow and they said if she is running fever they will
insist on taking x-rays. If we need to we can go to see a western doctor.
Our guide said it is very expensive, but if she can get relief I don't
care how much it costs. She is now tugging at her ear crying, so it
must be that. When she was feeling somewhat better last night I
took some pictures. Then in the middle of the night she woke up
burning up with fever and was up and down crying and thrashing
about for the remainder of the night. Mark and I are exhausted.
She is now taking a nap and her fever is 100 degrees. Pray today
that she gets to feeling better quickly for us all. I sat and held her
all through the night and prayed for her. Every inch of her is
perfect, she is so beautiful to us. God has blessed us with this
baby girl. We are ready to get her home.
We will leave Nanchung today not getting to see where Abby was
abandoned or anything much of her first fifteen months of life.

Beautiful pictures. We pray for her fever to break. Ear infections are no fun (teething sometimes causes fevers too). Everyone at the office has Ooooo'ed and Ahhh'ed over the beautiful photos. We can't wait to meet her. What a blessing!
J. Powell and everyone at the dental office
I just remembered the Abby blog and logged-on this morning to read of your journey. She is beautiful! You are in my thoughts and prayers as you prepare for your return home.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Kathryn Stewart
