She loves her Gerber puffs!
The Chinese people encourage you to keep the babies covered out in the sun.
Enjoying a snack.

Those of you who have been praying for us continue to do so, we want her so badly to bond with both of us. Right now she won't let me out of her sight for two seconds, I can't eat (which isn't such a bad thing) get dressed,or go the bathroom. I just need for her to warm up to daddy.
Right now she is taking a good nap. When she wakes up we are going to get outside some,
maybe try the stroller and no I don't think I can get in there with her. This morning was another step at breakfast, she sat in a high chair for the first time. There are many other things that we are thankful for. She is the only one out of our group that is walking and feeding herself.
Everywhere we go the Chinese people tell us how beautiful she is. I wish we could speak Chinese because she loves when the Chinese speak to her. Most of them can speak a little English and
communicate somewhat, most of them study English in school.
Yesterday we finalized the adoption. All we need now will be her passport. Everyone has been asking for more pictures. We'll take and post some more today after our outing. Thank you for all the comments we have been receiving we need the encouragement.

Yesterday was a small step toward bonding. Abby actually fed Mark Cheerios and held his hand for a short time going up some steps and we got a good belly laugh from swinging her by her arms.

Mark, Laura and Abby,
Your experience with Abby reminds me of our first days with Kris. Kris was 10 months old when we first saw his precious face. He would not let go of me for days. Give her time. When I look at pictures and videos from the first days with Kris I see a questioning and puzzled look in his eyes. Look at videos a few weeks later and you see a whole different look-one of belonging. Now, of course Kris and Jon are great friends and have been for many years. I have been praying for you for many months. You are in for quite a blessing! Hang in there.

Mark and Laura, it's so exciting to see you guys together with Abby! I know you've been waiting for this for a long time. She's gorgeous (and the Western clothing looks so much more comfortable than the layers-on-layers look)! I hope the rest of your trip is enjoyable and you guys have a safe journey back home. Can't wait to meet Abby! -John
Mrs. Laura and Mr. Mark,
I enjoy seeing the pictures of Abby. She is precious! Brooke has been talking about her in youth all the time!! You have raised wonderful children, and Abby will grow to be just as wonderful as Brooke and Blaine. Mr. Mark, stay strong. God will create that bond between you and Abby soon. I will be praying for you both!
