We made it through our first night with Abby. Unlike me she slept soundly and only woke up at 4:20 to be changed and fell back to sleep immediately. I was already awake at the time, my body clock is still off. I watched her sleep and wondered what she was dreaming about. She looked like an angel as do all babies, but she's our angel now offically. I thought about what she had gone through in the last 24 hours. It must have been tramatic for her. I can't imagine her foster mom's sadness to give something up so precious you have cared for fifteen months.
She just woke up content, but I wouldn't say happy either. We got in the floor and played stacking blocks. She thought it was funny when they fell over but she was determined not to give us a smile. She grinned slightly and we saw the first signs of a dimple. We have another busy day today of visiting the notary and Wal-Mart but maybe rest tomorrow.
Keep praying for her to accept our love and realize that we only want the best things for her. The hard wait now is the anticipation of bringing her home to all of you.
Keep the faith,
Mark, Laura, and Abby

Sooo Cute! What a beautiful child. We have been praying (in San Diego). The Youth Choir tour is officially back to North Little Rock and the 1st thing we've done is to check out this site to join all of your excitement. After returning from the tour with 45 teenagers we just have one thought --- ARE YOU GUYS CRAZY?
(lol)
We can't wait to see you guys and love on Abby. She is in for a big surprise... she is coming into a huge new family in NLR.
We love you guys,
Steve & Julie (with Kat & Gary)
